$4.5 MILLION TO WOO SCHOLARS

SAD NEWS

Philip Coppens, PhD, SUNY Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Distinguished Research Professor in the University at Buffalo Department of Chemistry, passed away on June 21. He was 86.

Danielle Johnson, an academic adviser in UB’s Daniel Acker Scholars Program and a deacon at Pilgrim-St. Luke’s, was among members of her congregation who voted unanimously to become a sanctuary church
